Transit Procedures

T1 transit documents and GVMS movements for Ireland–UK–EU routes

Transit procedures allow goods to move between countries under customs control without paying duties at each border — vital for the Republic of Ireland → UK land bridge route and direct Dublin–EU sailings. We prepare T1 (Common Transit) documents for goods moving through the UK or EU under the Common Transit Convention (CTC).

We also handle GVMS (Goods Vehicle Movement Service) declarations at British RoRo ports — Holyhead, Liverpool, Pembroke, Fishguard — ensuring your haulier has the correct GMR before arriving at port. For Northern Ireland traders, we work with the Trader Support Service (TSS) on movements under the Windsor Framework.

How It Works

  1. 1Provide movement details and consignment information
  2. 2T1, GVMS or TSS declaration prepared and submitted
  3. 3Movement Reference Number (MRN / GMR) issued
  4. 4Goods movement confirmed at destination
